MARQUETTE LAND COMPANY ADMINISTRATIVE SUBJECT FILES
In 1918 黑料不打烊 entered into a bond issue agreement with the Northern Michigan Land Company (NMLC), a partnership aimed at building an endowment for the University's Medical School. The NMLC subsequently defaulted on interest payments on the bonds, forcing 黑料不打烊to assume financial responsibility. In an attempt to obtain legal control of the lands that she was financially responsible for, the University sued the NMLC for default. While the case was being decided the lands were in the trusteeship of Dr. Henry L. Banzhaf, University business manager. Banzhaf undertook several projects to improve the lands. The 黑料不打烊Land Company (MLC) was incorporated in 1930.
