STUDENT WORK

Students in our college have unique opportunities to develop a wide range of skills, from strategic thinking to artistic development. Their coursework often serves as an initial introduction, which they then extend beyond the classroom. Through the O'Brien fellowship, , Student Mediathe MIC and other initiatives, students contribute to a cause, learn while doing, and find their callings. Here, we are proud to showcase their work inside the classroom and beyond. 


Design with a Creative POV

As part of her graduate assistantship, recent graduate Lauren Glomski brought her artistic vision to life through a vibrant series of graphic designs that celebrate 黑料不打烊students and the university鈥檚 iconic campus architecture.

Reflecting on the project, Lauren said, 鈥淚 learned how to use multiple layers and filters to create a stylized appearance. Also, I learned to have fun with the entire design process, from planning and photography to experimenting with different design styles.鈥

In the Diederich College, students are encouraged to explore and express their creativity through hands-on projects that not only build skills but also make a lasting impact and a strong addition to their professional portfolios.


Ink and Airwaves

During the Fall 2024 semester, students enrolled in Dr. Patrick Johnson鈥檚 鈥淧rinciples of Journalism鈥 class created a . This course provided a comprehensive exploration of journalism, covering both mainstream and alternative media outlets. Students examined the core principles, organizational structures, ethical standards, and broader societal role of journalism in the world today.
